Quote of the Dizzay

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.

How to Fly

When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.

My RnB wifey never disappoints
Finally got around to coppin' that new new Solider of Love and I have to say I love it!  Sade had always been one of my favorite artist and I never thought I would hear a new LP from her again, but a while ago a friend of mine was like you hear that Sade is coming out with a CD right, and I was like sayyy wooooorrrdddd (I drag out say word when I'm excited lol!)?  Ever since then I kept my eyes (all four of them) and ears open to see if the rumors where true until I finally saw on Amazon that they were pre-ordering it, I was like WOOOOOO!!!!  I like to cop my CDs at the store but I pre-order a copy for moms because without her I probably would of heard of Sade at a very much later date than I have.  I think for the most part everyones parents are like that, they influence your musical taste in some shape or form, for me it was totally.  Because of moms playing soul and RnB 24/7 365 I'm a RnB guy but the past years or so I have been trying to play catch up to all the classic and profound hip hop in the 90's and 00's.  Hip Hop has been a big part of my life too because all my boys listened to it, my brothers but I only limited myself to Pac, BTIH and some Common now and again because I didn't want to lose touch with my first love.  To me Hip Hop can be hit or miss, it's not too often today that I can listen to a hip hop CD straight through without skipping a song, or two or three!  The last solid LP was The Ecstatic I could listen to that CD from front to back...well almost that Casa Bey wasn't gravy with me lol!    But enough about hip hop back to my wifey Sade, Sade to me is long drive, just want to sit and chill, bad day, appropriate at work, get my clean on around the house, chill with the friends type music, I think that's why I dig her music so much you can listen to it at anytime, anyplace and enjoy it and it's timeless I can picture myself ten years from now with grey hairs in my goatee popping this CD in or whatever we will have in ten yrs.  It's funny though because I love me some Sade but I really don't know too much about her because what you can read on wikipedia, I think the first time I really heard her talk was on the Wanda Skyes show but I guess that's a good thing, a artist some have some mystery with them, to me it makes them more alluring I don't need to be all of in there biz!  Oh cop that SOL!

I forgive you Esmerelda
I got my hooptie back from the shop yesterday and I have the say the repair dudes did a great job on it!  I kinda zoned out when the guy was explaining to me what was wrong with it and how he fixed it, something to do with the electrical doo-dad that connects to the starter, I was just happy that mug was working again.  Sorry for thinking about trading your raggely ass in Esmerelda,  you have been kinda good to me over the years and I think I will keep you..........for now *cues violin*  *starts evil laughter*

Rust Bucket Blues
My bad luck with the motored vehicles goes waaay back...back in time, I think it all started when I almost got ran over by one when I was like seven or some age where I thought hiding under a car was cool.  It continued to when I was at that age where my homies all had cars and I didn't so I had to bum rides everywhere. If I knew that I would be involved in like five car accidents I would of probably done the two feet shuffle to all the places I needed to go, my friends are reckless I tell ya!!  The next stage was when I finally got my own rizzle and was pulled over quite frequently for a small place of Omaha Nebraska, I want to say it was because of my gorgeous chocolate exterior but I know I'm wrong on that lol!!  The stage I'm at now and where I was kinda when I started to zoom around town is picking and driving the most crappiest pieces of crap crap you can own.  I think why I end up with lemons is because when it comes to cars I really don't care, as long as it runs I'm dowwwwwn.  But mistakes make you wiser and I have finally learned from the past 250 and 500 dollar purchases of whips and I have been saving up and shopping around to see what's really really really good with the cars these days.  My plan was when I saved enough and found that nice motorized vehicltron (I made that up) od my dreams I would junk the moving ice box that I have now........but it seems that my azz car had different place for me.  I guess Esmerelda, my  95' rotund green isuzu rodeo knew my plans for her and decided she wasn't having that.  She usually gives me problems in the morning after a few false starts and a few begs on my part and she did today, but when I was about to run some errands at work, I hopped in the ride and nothing, absolutely nada homeslice.  I begged and begged and even crooned some Kevin Sweat to her but nothing, that thing didn't want to start at all.  I tried all my tricks but nothing worked so I took myself back to work and told my supervisor that I might need a ride later on, he laughed at me and said sure cheapskate and walked away, I flipped him the bird....in my mind.  After work me and my sup tried to start it again with no luck so he took me home (awww) and I started to make calls to tow truck companies and places I can tow it too.  I don't know what I'm going to do though I don't if I should see if a repair shop can see why Esmerelda is wildin' or try my cheapskate hand as my supervisor puts it at a Dover dealership.  What ya'll think?

I have to do some some searching in my boxes to find the CD's with all of my Guam pics, I swore I had them in my bookbag but I'm pone to losing stuff so we will see!  But these are the last two pics I took the day before I left, I was always meaning to take a pic of the mother and daughter statue but never got around to it (lousy work).  There's a story that goes along with the statues but I can't think of it for the life of me right now, I think it has to do with the wife and daughter waiting for the father to return but I'll have to ask my homie Tony on that.  Enjoy the pics my mindsay fam more to come. Adios

Welcome back, welcome back, wel-come baaaccckk

Hafa Adai my Mindsay fam!!!

It's a long ole story way I haven't been on here for the longest and that I created a different page (with 2 times more awesomeness!!), I guess when you get so wrapped up in things (for me working and moving around) other things start to fall by the wayside.  But it's great to be able to be on here again, share my random thoughts and reconnect with wonderful people again *winks at Aleeska*  I feel like the prodigal son without all the prodiginess lol!!  Things have been going super duper trooper for me as of late, I recently got stationed in Dover Delaware (ugh) from Guam.  Guam I have to say is a beautiful place with the most wonderful people I have ever met, my blog picture is one of the photos I took of the sunset there but that pic doesn't do Guam any justice you have to be there to see how amazing it can be.  Now I'm just trying to get settled in the new area, get used to the snow again *makes note to punch some snow later on* and get my pad sorted out because sleeping on the floor aint where it's at!!  I will trying to post more pics of Guam on my next posty post until then my peeps adios!!
